My favorite, and what seems like everyone else’s, favorite rainy day activity on ACK is SHOPPING! Luckily, Nantucket has many fun stores and boutiques! We hit a day of spitting rain (the worst) and decided to head into town to pick up some goodies. I love all the shops on Nantucket. You will drop some serious $$$ if you’re not careful. Here’s what I bought..
Shopping on Nantucket
Four Winds – 8 Straight Wharf
Four Winds has been my favorite gift shop on island forever. It’s located on Straight Wharf, just a few steps away from the ferry. They have something for everyone! Nantucket light ship baskets, apparel, postcards, toys for the kids, etc. If you’re looking for a shop to pick up a few touristy trinkets, you’ll be in good hands here.
Mom is a big fan of the Nantucket M. A. Hadley painted pottery items. I picked up a few spoon holders, as requested. I love the blue and white. I wasn’t able to locate her Nantucket products on her website – so be sure to check them out at Four Winds.
University of Nantucket – 14 S. Water St
University of Nantucket is one of my favorite T-shirt shops. Their prices are reasonable and quality is fantastic. If you’re looking for a classic Nantucket sweatshirt or t-shirt – head here! I’m a fan of collecting the Beach Permit shirts, so of course I added a 2018 one to my collection. This year, I went with the classic Nantucket Red color. It’s insanely comfortable and kept me warm during the chilly nights. If you can’t make it on island this season, you can always order online!
Vineyard Vines – 2 Straight Wharf
Vineyards is a classic. Yes, you can totally shop here off island – but trust me – they just re-did the store and it’s beautiful. I was surprised at how many people were wearing Vineyard Vines around town! It’s crazy to remember how the brothers used to have a teeny tiny shop on Nantucket selling belts and ties. How far they have come! I always pop into VV because they have Nantucket specific items. The shirts are adorable but I had to have the iPhone case. It’s currently only available in stores.
In the Pink – 5 S. Water
I’m a lilly girl inside and out. Last year Lilly came out with a “Cape and Islands” print – which was adorable. This year though, meet the big daddy – the Nantucket Island print.
I LOVE IT! The murfee scarves are great for the colder months. This one can only be purchased in store, so yeah, naturally I wasn’t going home without it.
28 Centre Point – 28 Centre St.
We shopped here because of a fantastic instagram from Nantucket BlACKbook.
Yeah – absolutely no shame in my game! How cute is that t-shirt? Had to have it! Can you ever have too many Nantucket t-shirts? My dresser would scream YES if it could speak. Luckily, furniture can’t talk ;). I fell in love with their home goods section as well. The store is beautifully curated and on point.
TownPool – Main St.
If you couldn’t tell from my previous post, I adore Town Pool. The brands they chose are great! I picked up a rope bracelet from lemon and lime. The gold closure is beautiful.
Cisco Brewers – 5 Barlett Farm Road
Spending a day at the brewery is a dream. Live music, kids welcome, pets, and the best booze ever? Totally in. They do offer an online shop, but the apparel goes SO QUICKLY that if you see it – buy it! I purchased a fantastic sweatshirt, two shirts, a koozie, glass opener key chain, triple 8 cranberry vodka, and stickers. A little boozy shopping never hurt nobody. Next on my list to pick up would be the mixed pint glass 4 pack. They have an online store to browse if you’re interested!
The Sunken Ship – 12 Broad St
I had to add this one to the list. Technically, I only bought an umbrella. This is also a go-to for stickers, toys, apparel, hats, etc. It’s listed as a general store. I like it because everything seems to be priced appropriately. They people running the store are very friendly too. They also sell kid sized Nantucket gear too! Note to self: pick up stuff for god-daughter next visit!
Where do you like to shop on Nantucket? Let me know so I can add it to my list for my next trip!
