Pink pink and MORE PINK!! Does anyone else get sucked into Facebook and browsing the events page? I’ve found many fun events through Facebook. It’s exactly how I stumbled upon the traveling Hello Kitty Cafe!
I wouldn’t consider myself a Hello Kitty fanatic.. but I’m always down for a fun themed food truck. I am shamelessly addicted to Trisha Paytas’ Youtube Channel. Sorry not sorry.. I totally love her. She posted a video a a month ago, featuring the Hello Kitty Cafe in Los Angeles. I think she ordered everything possible – which it was hard not to! I love love LOVED the hello kitty coffee and cake she picked out.
Hello Kitty Cafe – Keystone Mall, Indianapolis Indiana
I planned on arriving around 9:30, for a 10 am opening. Anxiety and excitement kicked in and I ended up parking at 9:15 and headed to get in line. There were about 30 people in front of me. The energy was so fun! Everyone talking about Hello Kitty, trips to Japan, the beautiful weather – great vibes all around.
Tips for the Hello Kitty Cafe
Pro Tip: If you’re heading to a concert, comedy show, any place with merch – take a photo of the merchandise booth before heading to your seats. In my case, I took a photo of the Hello Kitty Cafe sign before getting in line. This was very valuable as my other two blogger babes, Sierra and Sarah, arrived after me. I was able to send them the picture. The line started weaving around the parking lot and it filled up quick!
Make friends in line! I took photos for the girl in front of me and she returned the favor. Y’all are there for the same reason. Have fun with it! Sarah snagged a great one of me while I ordered her goodies!
I recommend arriving early and staying patient. I was somewhere around the 30th person in line. Once the truck opened, It look approximately 40 minutes until I reached the truck. Patience is quite a virtue. Both Sierra and Sarah knew exactly what they wanted so I grabbed their cards and made three quick transactions.
Remember how I mentioned the cute coffee and cake in Trisha’s video? Well, I was very disappointed to see that neither were an option. I was not the only confused guest. The staff who helped with my purchases were fantastic. Two friendly, smiling, and quick moving employees. I had another event to get to around 11, so I quickly grabbed my goodies and went home. I decided on the adorable Hello Kitty Mug and cookies. The mug has her bow as the handle. The inside says “Have a Sweet Day!” at the bottom of the mug.
The cookies.. well, let’s just say they looked better than they tasted. I just couldn’t pass them up!
Keep an eye out to see if the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is headed to your city!
